We stayed at a nice campground in Manitou Springs just outside Co. Springs. It was the Garden of the Gods CP. Not cheap but very nice.

We've stayed at Mueller State Park. It was beautiful. Our site was part forest, part meadow with Pike's Peak directly in front.

If you plan to camp near Rocky Mountain Nat. Park, Elk Meadow RV Park is right at the park entrance in Estes Park, CO. It is a fair place to stay if you are in the area.

There's a pretty nice KOA just south of Colorado Springs just off the Interstate 25 at exit 132. There's always a lot of RV's in it. Some friends of mine from out of town swear by it.

Also a CG at I-25 Exit 163 then south on east side frontage road. This ones near Monument north of Colorado Springs, lots of pine trees, etc.

As mentioned already there's two or three close in on the west side along Highway 24.
