Where to Camp Washington?

Maybe you can help. Tall Order!

We have holidays booked for August 21-September 7. We are trying to find a nice Full Hook-up campground with Cable and Wifi in a nicely treed setting and a view or short walk to the Ocean. We rough it on our short stays but like all the amenities when we stay longer at a site. Picky, I know, but we are who we are. LOL

We would like to be in the San Juan Islands area or north Washington Coast close to the islands. Our coach is a 36' and we tow our truck. Having the toad, we can venture to the ocean/beaches if needed but walking distance preferred.

Your tips/help is greatly appreciated!

We have stayed at Fidalgo Bay Resort a fee times and really enjoy it. http://www.fidalgobay.com/

Full hookups, they can accommodate any size rig. Some spots have your rig right over the beach so it would be difficult to walk to the beach but stepping out your door and falling on to the beach is probable.

Very near the quaint town of Anacortes, which has an amazing walk from the RV park to antique shops, coffee, restaurants, brew pub (wobble back), ice creame...

At first I was concerned with the park since it was near an oil refinery, gulp. It makes no noise, is so far away and as a added bonus, at night it looks like a cruise ship in the harbour.

Give it a try.

I looked at Fidalgo. It looked quite bare and open. Any trees on the back side?

Not much shade or trees, it's an open lot but the shade is compensated by being between two bodies of water and an amazing breeze. If the breeze were to stop I would suspect you would e done for in the summer.

We will be back there soon but this weekend we are off to Lincoln State Park.
