You could find the battered womens shelter near where you are and vol to help serve the dinner and then really feel better about your own life style.

You mention East Coast, and that's a pretty big swing of locations. If you're in the Northeast you could go to Plimouth Plantation and enjoy a Thanksgiving Dinner "where it all began"

Gatlinburg, TN (but you may want to stay at the KOA in Townsend, TN which is much quieter).

And there is a Homeless Shelter in Knoxville that I'm sure can use your help.
