Where to go in Louisiana

We live in Houston and have the week of Thanksgiving off. Have not made any plans and probably won't. Thinking of just getting in the motor home and heading east on I-10 to Louisiana. Maybe a casino or two. Any suggestions on RV parks or casinos would be appreciated. Also anywhere to see live cajun or zydeco music. Thanks in advance for any help

We stayed at this campground in Lafayette, Acadiana Park Campground. We would stay there again. Not sure if it is close to a casino.

While you are in Louisiana, head over to Vicksburg, Mississippi. There's a casino there, on a converted riverboat, that is very nice, with a nice RV park, adjacent. We've been there twice and had a good time! Plus, the area is rife, with civil war history.

Red Shoes RV Park at Coushatta Casino Resort

Beautiful campground check it out here: http://www.coushattacasinoresort.com...shoes-rv-park/
In past years there was discount coupon in Trailer Life Directory but don't know about current directory. Rates are good even without a coupon.
In addition to the good buffet at the casino we like the restaurant just down the road - Fausto's Family Restaurant in Kinder just south of the park/casino. Hope I make it through there this spring.
