Where To Now?

Okay, leaving Hot Springs, AZ and headed to Kerrville (Buckhorn) TX for a week. After that "where to now?" We have never been south of San Antonio. Is there anything, in any direction, within a couple of driving days, worth exploring? Where would you go?

Last spring we spent a week in the Corpus Christi area right on the gulf on Mustang Island. Great fish, seafood dinners and Gulf beaches to explore.

Lots of National Wildlife areas if you have any interest in that.

Mustang Island? Will look that up. You can never have enough seafood in my opinion... and it's not that far from Kerrville. Thanks

Which campground do you recommend?

Lake Travis is a nice, large lake with cool deep wafer; beautiful homes on tall cliffs. Several restaurants to dine by the water. The Oasis Mexican restaurant is very good known for watching the sunset. There are several RV parks. La Hacienda is a very nice park by looking at the website. I'd like to stay there one day. I stayed at another park many years ago and can not remember the name but it was nice and right on the water.
