Where to park the Motorhome in Klamath, CA?

Our granddaughters want to go to the coastal redwoods this summer. They are 8 and 12. Where is a good place to stay in the redwoods with kids?

The Native American Indian tribe just South of Redwoods State park has a CG across the highway from their tribal HQ. I can't remember its name.
Klamath River RV park is in the same area.

There are a lot to choose from. I'd suggest that you check a couple of the RV park review sites to see what suits you the best. Bear in mind that from Klamath, you're closest to Prairie Creek, which is arguably the best of the groves easily accessed. (Your granddaughters will love the elk.). Other major groves are just north of Crescent City. And around Eureka. Last November we visited the groves in both areas over a period of weeks. Shoreline in Crescent City was great for bay front sites. Riverwalk in the Eureka area was very good. Many of the parks in Klamath were closed for the season. As was our very favorite in the Redwoods - Giant Redwoods.
