Mick is right. Destiny is nice. Another option is the Vineyard in Grapevine. Sometimes it can be a little noisy from the airport, but it's quite an oasis.

There's not much that comes to mind in Plano or Frisco. Destiny is a former KOA park, it is about 18 mi north of Carrollton, off I-35. Kind of pricey, advertised at $44.

Another vote for vineyard RV resort on Grapevine lake. We stay there every year when visiting relatives at Christmas. Very nice park.

The ones already listed are the best but don't rule out Shady Lane RV Park as is it very close to Carrollton.

Sandy Lake RV Park is in Carrolton. It is a Good Sam park and not expensive.

Another vote for the Vineyards. Just spent a week there. Weather (wind) was horrible but the park is beautiful. We enjoyed the shopping and restaurants on Main Street in downtown Grapevine.

Saw the recommendation on here for the Vineyards at Lake Grapevine and booked a site this past weekend. Had never heard of this place so we gave it a try. Nice park with all basic amenities. The high nightly price seemed to weed out the rowdy type crowd. Nice park, very clean and organized.

Lewisville Lake Park CG is just off of I-35E less than 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. We spent 5 nights there last October and were happy with it. There are also a couple of COE parks nearby that are reasonable. Check:

Ray Roberts State Park gets my vote. They have a north campground in Valley View just south of Gainesville (Johnson branch) or Pilots Point which has the south campground (Isle of DuBois). They are just off of I35.

Been there several times and it's one of our favorites. It's a bit of a drive to Carrollton, though.

It's Sandy Lake and you might check www.rvparkreviews.com before hand. We use Destiny...
