Where to stay in Las Vegas for CES

My DW and I will be attending CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas Jan. 6-9 and we're seeking some recommendations on good places to park our rig for about a week.

I have worked vendor booths at CES for a number of decades but this year, thanks to my recent retirement, I'll be there as a regular attendee and free to see the show myself.

I hope to find an RV park that is reasonably decent without spending a huge amount. Shuttle busses go between the exhibit halls and the major hotels on the strip and most of those hotels provide free valet parking so I'll likely use that and our toad for transport to and from the show each day.

First Choice, Oasis RV park. Sam's Town is now a KOA, it was a nice parking lot but a haven't been there for years. Oasis is lovely, but it is not cheap.

Oasis is a Passport America park so if you're only staying 3 days the 50% discount makes it a pretty good deal We were there last January.

Arizona Charlies is also a good park and more reasonable than the others mentioned. Long pull through sites, 50 amp, wifi all included in the price of admission. About 5 miles to the strip.

Looks like the Passport America rates at the Oasis are only good from June 1 - September 15.

The Thousand Trails is decent and secure. Not fancy but pretty close in. Don't know offhand what the rates are for non members.

Sorry for the hijack - how do you get into CES? I have always wanted to go to that and SEMA but can't figure out how to get in without working in the industry. Take me with you

I'd Love to get into the show too....anyways, Were staying at Main Street Station until the 4th and moving over to Thousand Trails till the 12th. I know, Main Street is a bit far, but if your looking for cheap(19.00 a night I think)...not a Resort by any means...but I like it. We'll be doing Fremont Street for New Year's so it will be close by(walking distance).
