Where to Stay Near Torrance, CA
I'll be in Torrance for 2 or 3 months this summer, starting in May, need a nice place to stay.
I've researched 7 or 8 parks but not being familiar with the area I am probably missing a few nearby cities with parks. Any help would be appreciated.
Need a place that can accommodate 40' MH with 50 amp and full hook ups.
I've looked at the following:
Golden Shores - Long Beach 1st choice - Can't get in until 6/1
Anaheim RV Village - Anaheim - Big park with grass area for each lot
Anaheim Resort RV Park - Anaheim - Smaller park but still has grass for each lot
Malibu Beach RV Park - Malibu - Limited to 28 days in the summer
Huntington By The Sea - Huntington Beach - No grass, kind of a big paved parking lot

Golden Shore will be a great site. I see you are a Navy Vet have you checked out the Family Camp at Seal Beach http://www.militarycampgrounds.us/mi...-at-seal-beach

Check out the county RV park in Playa del Rey, I think it is Dockweiler Beach.
It is literally at the bike path and has full hookups with 50 amp service.

Golden Shore would be a great choice. You will have easy access to Torrance. We stay there on a monthly basis when we are not on the road. We should be back there the beginning of May. I can put in a good word for you with Chandra if you like.

Golden shore would be great, Til then try Canyonrv.com. Not a parking lot. We've stayed at both over the years.

Lived in Southern California for many, many years --- If you'll need to have daily contact or even frequent contact with Torrance - you may want to pick your spot carefully to avoid horrible commute travel time -
Traffic would be a bear from Anaheim, Playa Del Rey, Malibu, etc.
The Seal Beach or spots closer to Torrance would be much better unless of course, you want to spend 3-4 hours a day sitting in traffic on the freeways (not to mention the price of fuel) !!

Sounds like you want to stay close to the beach but if you are willing to go inland, there is a park in Van Nuys, Birmingham and one in Northridge, Walnut Rv. Both are older but decent and closest in. Good luck.

Thanks for all the suggestions, looks like I'm at least starting out at Anaheim RV Village.
