Where would be some fun places to camp around spring break with a 13 year old?

We are in central Fl. And frequent the Fort, Jetty park, and have done the east coast to Canada. Looking for something new. Any ideas for a great spring break trip with our 13 year old granddaughter?
Thanks
Jesse

Hi Jbmsr,
A 13 year old female. Wow, that is quite a challenge to impress. Because you are in central Florida consider Tennessee:
1. Eastern Tennessee (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg). A "G" rated community with so many and different things to do to satisfy all ages and tastes. Quite a few CGs to choose from.
2. Nashville as soon as you decide, make reservations for the Grand Old Opry. Get front row seats. Your grand daughter will think you own the place. There are many activities, all themed around country music.
3. Memphis is everything Elvis. Don't know if the grand daughter would appreciate this.

Lastly, Branson, MO. It is like #1, but several time larger. The variety of entertainment is immense. Everything from Moon River theater (Any Williams) to Smirnoff's comedy to the Beatles tributle show (outstanding). Many CGs to choose from.

Teens like nice beaches. Gulf State Park, Alabama would be a great place with lots to do in the immediate area.

Jekyll Island State Park, GA if she likes bike riding, horseback riding, beaches and historic places. They also have a turtle museum for the kids and a water park but I don't know if the water park will be open for spring break. They also have miniature golf and fishing excursions. It is more of a family oriented park instead of the college kids with their drinking. The RV Campground usually has a bunch of families with young teens for her to get to know.
