Our time at Fort STEVENS state park was wonderful. The campground was full but not rowdy. We had good quiet time at the campfire, spent time in Astoria, on the beach, and on the bike trails.

Bryan Mawr in St Augustine was packed to the gills. Within 10 minutes of setting up my daughter had made friends, and her friends parents became our friends. People were rowdy but not out of control. Lots of noise and partying after quiet time. But that is sort of the idea of holiday camping, no?
Already made our reservations for next year.

BUT For the first time, we "camped" with some friends on Memorial Day weekend !!
It was like a Syrian Refuge Camp. Wall to wall people. mostly out of their mind on FIREBALL ! Lesson learned.
