Williams Arizona

Just finished a 3 night stay in Williams Arizona at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park. It was a 10 of 10! Walking distance to town and a Safeway grocery store. We went for the Polar Exress train ride and experience. I'd rate that a 6 of 10. Fun but mainly for little kids that know of the story. Back to the RV park. Very clean, level pads, shuttle around the park, great play area for the kids, dog and cat kennel attached to the main office, nice small store, super friendly people, showers and laundry room were very clean and accessible. Very quite at night with the exception of maybe 1 train a night. Nice new picnic table for each site. Free access to heated indoor pool and spa at hotel on the grounds. I just can't say enough good things about it!

Thanks for that. My wife and I are headed that way late winter or early spring and I was going to ask about that very park. I am happy your experience was so great and thanks for sharing with the rest of us.

We stayed at Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park in March of 2015. The park is everything already said, what a nice place. It is within walking distance of the downtown, which is back to Route 66 time. We took the train to Grand Canyon but upgraded to First Class. That was well worth the cost, the cabin attendant was great and refreshment were in the price. I would recommend the upgrade. Also don't miss Bearizona in Williams, it is a great wildlife park you can drive thru or take a tour, great place.

I should have mentioned Bearizona and the Deer Farm. Both are great places to visit for kids and adults who love being up close with animals.

We were there in July 2015. What a GREAT time. Park is very well run, great amenities, well laid out and very kid friendly. We had 3 of our grandkids (10, 9,9) and they had a ball. We took the train to Grand Canyon and back. We didn't upgrade and it was just as well (seats rotated and kids/Mammaw faced each other). Lots of in car entertainment aka strolling troubadour and on the way back - a train robbery by horse back mounted bandits. What a hoot.

The price was very reasonable. It is a super 10 or 10.

It's also a Passport Park.

Agree, very nice place to stay. All paved and level. They are sticklers about pads under your jack legs so remember to bring something.

A quick walk across the RR tracks and down the main drag has some great Route 66 shops and restaurants, and in the summer you can watch the locals perform old west gunfights in the streets. (It's pretty authentic)

The old steam locomotives are fascinating to study, it is amazing how big and complex they are. And you thought your diesel RV was complicated!!

We have also stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park.

Canít add much to what has already been posted. We liked the convenient location. We did the round trip train ride. Others around us went up and spent the night and came back the next day. Either way it eliminates having to do all the driving.

Here are a couple of active links.
