I will be heading to Williamsburg VA for a few days right after Easter. It will be me, my wife, a 14 yr old son, and a 12 yr old daughter. I am looking for recommendations for a campground to stay at in the area.

Thanks,
Rob

We have stayed at both Williamsburg Pottery Campground and American Heritage RV Park in the Williamsburg area. American Heritage is probably a little nicer, but we prefer Williamsburg Pottery Campground because it's easier to get a site without trees for our internet satellite. The Pottery is also a little closer to the Restored Area.

Avoid Anvil Campground unless you like trains. They rumble through at all hours of the day and night on their way to and from the ports in Norfolk, Newport News, Hampton Roads, etc.

Check out this link to rvparkreviews.com for reviews of these and other campgrounds in the Williamsburg area.

Hey Rob,

I am sorry to say I can't help you out on the Williamsburg VA thing, but since you are also from NJ I will say check out the NorEasters Group!! We have a rally in May up in Ct.

Rob,
I would recommend American Heritage, it served its purpose for us.

We will also be at the Noreaster Rally, come on up!

My family will also be camping in Williamsburg after Easter. Although we've heard all the stories about Anvil, we're going to try it anyways as they have shuttle service & we have no toad. I have heard good things about American Heritage.
