In my opinion, the best choice in Williamsburg is American Heritage RV Park. American Heritage - Home
Convenient location, nice sites, very good hookups and nice staff. There will be folks who complain about dusty streets, but we have not found it to be a problem.

Friends that had lived in Williamsburg recommended Chickahominy Riverfront Park for our visit last summer, and we loved it. They even suggested a specific site, number 321, which is all but surrounded by the river right behind it. It was a full hookup site. I'll include a photo of us on the site.

As it's a public park it does not have all the amenities of a high end private park, but it does have a nice pool (but I doubt you'd be using it in March). It is well located close to Williamsburg.

We stayed at that very site in 2011. Good location, wide open spaces and full hookups at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, it doesn't open until April 1.

We have stayed at the Williamsburg KOA and enjoyed our stay. We have not stayed at any others in the area. Some of the KOA sites are pretty tight but park was clean and our kids had a good time.
