Per their web page, they will close 11/15/07. They were expensive but close to Chicago, IL.

Thats too bad. Stayed there this summer while we were at a trade show and a few days of sightseeing. Although it was lacking warmth, it did have location, location, location. We were there the 3rd week of August during all the bad weather. We do not worry about tornados in Mass. While visiting we heard tornado sirens twice from just around the corner and quickly took refuge in the new library just over the highway. We still laugh about the park owners telling us to hide from the tornado in their old barn.

Do you know of another spot to stay for next time ?

You can go about 10 miles west to Empress Joliet Casino or as the WIT group is doing in June'08 and go to Yogi Bear campground in Portage, IN which is far but closer to downtown Chicago miles wise.

We stayed at the Empress Joliet Casino RV Park a few years back. It's a really nice campground. All concrete, very clean and right across (although very large) the parking lot for the Casino.

They have (or at least had) a shuttle that will pick you up at the campground and take you to the casino.
