Winter

I'm hearing a lot of folks are going to Florida , Alabama , and Georgia for winter this year rather then South Texas and Arizona due to the Border issues with Mexico , has anyone heard anything?

Nothing that I've heard , and we just spent 3 days here with friends from California who winter in the same park we do.
The park is 145 miles north of the border , so I'd be interested to see if anyone who stays , in Yuma right at the border has any input on this.
Other friends wanted us to join them driving into the Baja, for the winter months , so I'd guess they hadn't heard anything either.

As long as the RV park is not directly on the border, there are absolutely no issues.
We're near the border in Arizona all the time - no problems. We choose not to worry about things. Millions of people live in the border states.

Gulf Shores / Orange Bech Al is a great place to winter and caters to snowbirds and rvers.

We just reconfirmed our reservation in south Texas for this winter. I think they bus all their illegals to California. <rolling eyes and whistling>

Mission Texas. I have never been to Arizona in the winter so don't know if it's better. Appears to be more expensive from what I can tell. We have family and friends in mission so that makes it more appealing I guess.

Thanks,

Alan

How are you going to attend the coolest RV show in the USA in Quartzsite Az if you don't get near the border. Or at least 90 mile from it. No worries for me.

Still going to Arizona and Southern California, this winter and have no qualms about the border proximity. The weather is normally always better then the Gulf coastal states. Certainly was last winter.
