Winter Haven, Florida

We are thinking about wintering in the Winter Haven area of Florida next winter. We are looking for a park that is middle to towards the upper end of the spectrum and wondering if anyone has experience in that general area?
Thanks for your comments!

Winter Haven...MMMM...Manny's Chop House!!!

OK...back to the subject...

A little further North in Polk City is Mount Olive Shores North (MOSN). We went for a week a few years ago and accidentally stayed there 4 months. We regularly visited both Lakeland and Winter Haven from there.

MOSN has a fair number of owner sites for rent. It also has nice amenities. It's a "Class A", 55+ community with gate security. The only drawback is that I don't think you can qualify to rent an open site unless you have a Class A. The HOA rules allow other types of RVs but they require some form of covered site.

We prefer Yuma, AZ for our winters but if we went back to the Lakeland FL area we would go back to MOSN without a second thought.

There's a nice park out east of Winter Haven by the Walmart on Cypress Gardens Boulevard, I think it's Cypress RVP. I've heard $800/mo winter.

Or you can come out slummin with us down Canal Rd....

35 miles east on route 60 there is River Ranch owners rv park
Next to a westgate resort.
The RR owners rv is well manicured and worth checking out

We’ve got friends in a 55+ community up near Lake Henry. They don’t have an RV but the complex is modular homes. They have room for us to visit anytime during the winter.

Our fee? We cover the tab at Manny's at least every other week.

DONE!!!!!!

Now back to our regular program....
