Winter months in Phoenix - Tucson

Looking for a month long stay in the Phoenix - Tucson area for Nov, Dec, Jan. Don't need a bunch of amenities, just a clean safe place

Thanks.

Nov & Dec, should be no issue , having your pick of sites, after Christmas and New Years, they really start filling up.

That's a pretty large area to be asking about. There are a LOT of parks in that huge area.
We've stayed at Leaf Verde in Buckeye, AZ (just west of Phoenix) a nice clean park, just the basics, pool, laundry, bathrooms/showers. There's a couple of "basic" parks in Tucson, Tra Tel and Adventure Bound on Houghton Road.
It's hard to find a park that you will really like, we stayed at Palm Gardens in Mesa. It had it's own rv area called the village, not mixed in with the park models. At the pool, the "park model" people treated us as if we were lepers. We've laughed about that since "are you from the village?".

If you're not familiar with the areas I would suggest that you just take a month at three different places to check out different areas.

We love Tucson and Apache Junction would be a good area for the Phoenix area and also some parks in the Mesa area would be good. We would not recommend Casa Grande because it gets dust storms in that region and it's also a long distance if you want to do anything in the Phoenix area.

Once you get to Arizona you can explore more on your own for future stays as to what type of park you really like.

Check out RV Park Reviews for some ideas, too. Have a great winter!

If you don't need to stay more than 2 weeks in one place check out the AZ State PArks.

Cool Apache Junction

A couple recommendations: Shiprock Rv Park is a nice place in Apache Junction, good accomodations, great pool, nice people: Meridian RV Resort also Apache Junction is great too, really nice pool lots of activities, however, does not have a main indoor center, RV's only , best part for us is that it is right across the street from the American Legion, music and dancing every night with cheap beer, and walk home.
Enjoy your trip
