Thanks! I called and was told ya can spray off the salt yourself or the Maldanados were very reasonable and work the park.

So my last question - and I know this is anybody's guess - how much wind! LOL. I love the Gulf Coast / Ocean - and know wind comes with it. Just wondering if ya end up with slides in etc often??

Thanks again!!

We have been there with 2 fivers and now the MH. Have never pulled the
Slides in, not that I have not thought about it. The wind this last year was the
worst that we had in the last 3 years. Course last winter was not good any place,
unless you were in S. AZ orS CA. Oh and you can wash your
Own rig.

What is there around the Corpus Christi area? Also, how are the hospitals/EMS in the area? With dad's health, thst part is important.

Steve, Buddy! You know my paranoia about salt and coaches. LOL Here is my thought on this subject that is worth about $.02 on a good day.

You can get a coach all washed and waxed all you want but you can't wash out the salt that can reach places you can't wash. Is that a big deal? Heck if I know.

RGV?

Anyone have input on Sun N Fun (San Benito) or Tropic Winds (Harlingen)?

Yes, it is. We've spent a lot of time on the Texas coast and the RV has definitely suffered. We're usually boondocking, so ours suffers inside, too. The salty air has taken out computer monitors; MP3 players; the water pump; and caused rust on the generator, the battery compartment, the freezer in a basement storage area. It's caused corrosion on hardware inside and pretty much every switch has had to be taken apart and doused with contact cleaner. The brushes on the alternator got completely corroded, and we had to replace the radiator because the fins were all corroded. Actual salt formations build up in the corners of the windows.

And the wind is pretty horrific in Corpus and South Padre Island. It won't necessarily be enough to make you need to pull in your slides, but it will buffet around your RV, and it blows pretty much constantly. Not much awning use, and definitely not unattended.
