Yes, it is. We've spent a lot of time on the Texas coast and the RV has definitely suffered. We're usually boondocking, so ours suffers inside, too. The salty air has taken out computer monitors; MP3 players; the water pump; and caused rust on the generator, the battery compartment, the freezer in a basement storage area. It's caused corrosion on hardware inside and pretty much every switch has had to be taken apart and doused with contact cleaner. The brushes on the alternator got completely corroded, and we had to replace the radiator because the fins were all corroded. Actual salt formations build up in the corners of the windows.
And the wind is pretty horrific in Corpus and South Padre Island. It won't necessarily be enough to make you need to pull in your slides, but it will buffet around your RV, and it blows pretty much constantly. Not much awning use, and definitely not unattended.
