Wisconsin Dells... Christmas Mountain Resort

Anyone ever camp here? Impressions / thoughts?

Looking at a trip there in early October possibly with our two kids (8 and 3).

I stayed there several years ago & it's a ways from the water parks & downtown.
We go threw the Dells every year & stay at Mt Olympus, it's in the middle of town next to the amusement park & they give you a lot off free coupons for the water parks & go karts if you have children with you. I like it because it's paved & easy to get in & out, a lot of the camp grounds are very primitive & anything over 30 feet is a challenge.
I just looked at your signature & I don't think you will have a problem with a trailer.

In fairness to them, it's been years since we visited Christmas Mountain. Back then they were trying to sell us on membership.

I don't remember it being anything special, and it is a ways from all the action.

October in Wisconsin is actually one of our favorite months for "camping". The crowds are gone, the weather is usually good, although can have some cold mornings. Many of the Dells attractions will be closed or open only on weekends, however.
