Evening,
Planning a trip out West in May and we would like to see Yosemite but have found that the campgrounds inside the park are all booked.
This means a campground outside the park. I would appreciate some suggestions or recommendations if you will on campgrounds close to the parks various entrances. Say 20 miles close.
I know one persons opinion may differ from anothers on what a good campgound is but if I drive from Indiana and have to stay outside the park then I would like it to be nice.
I welcome and appreciate any suggestions you may have.
Thanks, Keith

We stayed at Yosemite Pines RV Resort last July. It was a pretty nice campground, nothing fancy. We have a 40 ft MH and they tried to get us between two pine trees and we would have scratched the MH up from the branches. We had them move us to another sight that was more open. The sites are not very level. It was about 20 miles west f Yosemite entrance on Hwy 120. Their web site is www.yosemitepinesrv.com

Hope it helps and safe travels this summer

LGA,

When we went to Yosemite we stayed on the Western side of the park and stayed in MonoVista RV Park in Lee Vining. The park was clean and nice however as I remember there were some trees but had no problem getting into or out of site. The people were very friendly too. We also visted Mono Lake while there and the new visitor center.
