We are trying to plan a trip our west and want to hit a few of the larger National Parks. I was wondering if anyone could give us an idea if there is enough to do in Yosemite for someone who can't get around so well.

I'd love to spend two weeks there hiking but Eddie just can't get around that well without a cane after his strokes last year.

There are a lot of views that you can see from your vehicle without hiking. The drive up the mountain to view Half Dome is really pretty. There are falls that you can't get to but the whole park is beautiful and has pullouts that you can get out and take pictures. Go for it

The Valley floor hasmilesof Paved walkways. I use a wheelchair to take my Mom around the sights. Free buses are all hndicap accessible and travel the valley floor. There is a sightseeing tour that travels to all of the sights, don't know the cost, and they use a flat bed like trailer that has no obstructions. It is also narrated. One can also drive the valley in their own car and if you have disabled license or placard you can drive to Happy Isles ans Mirror Lake .

Agree that there is a lot accessible to wheelchairs.

Paved path to the base of Yosemite Falls. Yosemite Village is all blacktopped. You can also visit the Ahwanhee Hotel and see all the wonderful common area rooms that are on the ground floor.
