Yosemite, Here We Come!

Today marks the first day that campers can make a campground reservation at Yosemite National Park.

I set my phone's calendar to alert me and jumped on it. A lot of other people did the same and booked campsites.

I booked ours for three nights in April at the North Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley. I chose it thanks to this review at RV Park Reviews. It's been many moons since we last stepped foot in Yosemite and this will be the first time camping inside the park.

My daughter is excited about going.

One if my favorite places. Have been there several times - first was in the early seventies. We were to go this year but something came up, so now on the list for next year.

Enjoy!!

The word Yosemite brings back many memories for me. The first time was when I was a kid in the mid 50's, and can vividly remember the rangers at night turning Yosemite Falls into a flaming fire fall. Don't know how it was done but it was spectacular. Of course it can't be done anymore with so many regulations, but it's a memory I'll always have.

If you manage to find an uncut version of The Caine Mutiny, there is a scene in Yosemite of the Fire Falls.
