I'm headed to Yosemite 6/21 (This Thursday) from Napa. I am hoping to secure a first come first serve spot in the park...I do not have a reservation. My thought is to boondock near the park Thursday afternoon and head in Early Friday to try to secure a spot. Any recs on which campgrounds I'd have the best shot at doing this? Any other tips?

How does that work? What/which station?
Wife and I were thinking of a day visit but if we could get a site, then that would be great .
There is parking lot with a office that they give you a number. When the campsites are released they call numbers and give out the sites. Hopefully you will get a site. Be there in the am. I have not been there in several years but that is how the gave out the sites. The office is right in the middle of the valley.
