Yosemite sites

Planning trip to Yosemite checking site size I have a 26ft Airstream many of the sites are 35 ft deep but say max trailer length is 24 ft. I was wanting to know if anyone has been there and if you can fit a 26 ft trailer in these sites?
Thank you for any help.

My son worked at Yosemite for 1 1/2 years so we have camped there a few times.

The 35 ft depth is for your camper AND you car/truck. Many sites in Yosemite are very tight with big trees so you should abide by the recommendation. The campground roads are tight too so if you try to put your 26-foot trailer in and your car, you may be sticking 2 feet into the road which will impede other campers.

If you are trying to make a reservation for the summer, you MUST get onto the website as soon as the sites becomes available (I think 5 months before the date). One time I was trying to get July reservations and the campgrounds filled up in 11 minutes!

Yosemite sites

Thanks RVThere. Are there any campgrounds in the park that are easier to fit in than any other? Thanks again.

I stayed at Groveland last June (this year) I'm 44 ft. Had no trouble, you will be 22 miles from Yosemitie entrance.

Bearrand,

I like the North Pines campground if you can get a site as soon as you pull in on the river.

Sites 101 to about 113 allow you to pull in and out without doing the loop. I have done that loop in a 40' DP but it was VERY tight going in between some trees (that had scares from not so careful drivers!).
