Have stayed at Imperial Bonita Estates in Bonita Springs for last 7 years. Great place but spaces are hard to come by Jan thru Mar.

I can't see me picking a resort on what people choose to camp in. 5ers, all classes of motorhomes, TT. I do not care as long as the park is clean and close to civilization with amenities. My first was a 5er and hated when the park gave the better sites to Class A Motorhomes......

Oops, when it said Class 'A' restrictive, I thought it meant restrictive to BIG Class 'A', not restrictive to Class 'A' only.
I don't care much for those type of restrictive either.
There are quite a few 5'rs that cost more than the Class 'A'

In the Southern gulf coast area (below Tampa the weather seams to be more desireable), Others mentioned, Pelican is good as well as the Naples Motorcoach Resort and Silver Lakes. Have not stayed at them, but have friends at all. We have been at Neapolitan Cove Resort for the last 3 years and like the friendship and management.
So the moss does not grow under the tires, next winter we will be going to Everglades Isle, Neapolitan (two stays), and a kinda exclusive park at a Marina in the Keys that only has 9 spaces, class A only. The Latter last time I talked to them had 1 space available in Jan., a few in Dec., Feb. is full, and March filling up. A bit pricey, but with only 9 spaces and all spaces either on the water or full view, lots of amenities, I guess they can be...they are not advertising at this time, they just opened last fall. All Marina facilities available as well as nice restaurant.
I can tell you that the managers at Everglades Isle (last season and next) are tops and will do everything to make your stay there great. It is a bit off the beaten path, but what a beautiful place and an over-the-top club house with theater, massage room, exercise room, bar, docks for boats (about 50) wow...try it. But beware, air boats near by, but not too annoying.
On your way down, Quail Run is a good stop over in the Tampa area in Westley Chapel just north of Tampa and easy access off of I75, stayed many times.
Have only stayed at one in the Bradenton/Cortez area south of Tampa and would highly recommend http://www.holidaycoverv.com/. A bit of a drive through town, but not so much as you would notice...stay at least a few days here and enjoy the Sarasota area too.
We will be roaming next year maybe we will cross trails.

Nice tip on the Bradenton resort. Been looking for a place around there.

Important things are: 1) Things to do (both on site and close by) 2) Exercise options 3) Warm weather (further south the better) 4) class A restrictive
Just want to know where you would go back to.
Try Signature in Naples that is very nice.

Is this true?

Anyone know of an alternate close to Disney World?

Fort Wilderness is great, but very pricey for any length of stay.

There are a LOT of great resorts all over Florida, some of which have been mentioned. We will be staying at Deer Creek, Davenport FL (about 20 miles south of Orlando) precisely because it's less than 20 minutes from any of the Disney theme parks. There is a par three golf course that winds through the 5 separate "communities" (Regal Point is the type A restricted section). Each community has it's own clubhouse and pool area that supplements the main pool and large clubhouse. There are many organized activities within the park, my wife takes advantage of a few, and all the shopping, restaurants and other entertainments you could ever want near by.

Here is a shot of our coach on the same lot we'll have this year, looking at the 8th green.

No problem. We have an RV Port there with executive suite (300 sq. ft w/full kitchen/laundry/bath w/shower on the 12th green (championship golf course) Pics attached. Since we have been in the area for about 50 years, we know the area pretty well.

TGO is a secure Gated Community within an hours drive of Orlando International Airport, Disney, Sea World, Indian River Lagoon (best Red fishing in the country), Kennedy Space Center, Daytona International Speedway and a primitive pristine Playalinda Beach east of Titusville.

Less than an mile off of I-95 with Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Dixie Crossroads (think RockShrimp), and restaurants close by.

You can inshore fish or offshore fish out of Port Canaveral, cruise ships out of Canaveral and even take Senior Audit courses from the local college.

At the same time, the area is not "big city" with a population around 43,000. All in all, hard to beat with great winter temps. Send me a PM if you want more info on the lots or the area.
