Yuma

We enjoyed the Westwind. Nice pool, par3 Golf although I understand this is not your interest. Internet was not working at the time. Site was reasonable size, Gravel with a concrete pad for step and entrance area.

Friends had two properties in the Foothills so we stayed with them. Have thought about getting a place down there but haven't been able to fully retire yet.

We are staying at Westwind for Nov. & Dec. Couldn't pass up the 50% off. It was between there event hough we are not BIG golfers and The Palms as we ARE dog people and they are very pet friendly with two off leash grass do runs. Problem with the Palms is they are not taking single month reservations at this time. They would put our name on a list if they had an inquiry for the single month of Jan. We went ahead and reserved at Westwind.

If you travel with pets, Cocopah RV and Golf Resort has a great pet area.

I came across this thread while searching for a place for one month in Yuma.

I boondock all the time, however, this year I am getting there MUCH earlier than in previous years. Meaning it is still very hot and I figure we are going to need the A/C running.

I did check out the Westwind and that is a good deal for sure.

Price is definitely an issue for me as well as dog friendly.

Anybody have any other suggestions ??

Wherever you decide to stay in Yuma for January, try for reservations NOW! When we are done with the Quartzsite thing in Jan, we head down there for a bout 5 days and have to take whatever we can get.

Not looking for January. Will be arriving in Yuma likely in the next two days.

Only looking for a one week rate. I'll keep looking.

January Visit

Haven't called them yet, but DW and I will be stopping in Yuma to visit fellow RVers staying at Westwind. We'll only be in town for 5 to 7 days on our way to CA and know it's going to be tough finding a place. Looks like Yuma is a long-stay destination.

I'll let you know what we find.
