We'll be on our way to San Diego passing through Yuma this Friday the 23rd. Any suggestions on where to stay? We have two very friendly Dobermans,Rudy and his sister Lilly.

My dog and I have had good stays at the various KOAs in the Southwest, including Yuma. Almost all KOAs are dog-friendly, but some do limit certain breeds. (Am not interested in starting that debate over dog breeds, just passing along the info.) :-)

You might consider looking at this website:

One thing to be aware of is that (at least as of 5 years ago) if your dog needs emergency off hours care in Yuma you cannot get it unless your dog is a previous client of a vet there. We had a situation with a four month old pup needing emergency treatment and were refused, not by one vet but the entire vet community there.

We found a vet in El Centro.
