Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

For ALL attending:

Come sign up to be on a Chase Crew. It is the best way to enjoy the Fiesta.

Out of town and International Pilots, need help with crewing. We can set you up with them.

We, Norm & Donna are the Chase Crew Team Leaders, we would love to meet you and/or sign you up to crew.

A note from our Leader.

Dear Chase Crew Volunteer,
Thank you for your interest in being a part of the largest ballooning event in the world! Balloon Fiesta is now just about 25 days and a few hours from the opening morning of the first Mass Ascension for this year.
This year we will not be pre-assigning chase crew and pilots, unless you have listed a pilot that you would like to crew for. We have found that the pre-assignment process doesnít allow for various changes that occur right before the event, even sometimes during the event.

Some important details regarding signing up to be on a Chase Crew:
You will need to either attend the Pilot Registration (Crew Table) or you will need to visit the Chase Crew Headquarters prior to the first session you have signed up to help.

Why, you ask? To pick up proper passes for your participation!

Your admission pass will allow one person into Balloon Fiesta Park free during any sessions that you have signed up to crew. Without this Admission Pass, a gate admission fee of $10 is required every time you enter Balloon Fiesta Park October 5 through 13. Children 12 and under are free and do not require an admission pass at any time. Please do not register any children under the age of 12.
Your pilot is the only one that can supply you with a Parking Pass. Otherwise, you will have to pay $15 every time you park or purchase an all-session parking pass in the Balloon Fiesta gift shop. *Most pilots will coordinate a location to pick up their crew outside of the Balloon Launch field*

If you plan on picking up items at the Pilot Registration, please see the details below:
When can I go?
Thursday, October 3, 1000 to 1900 (10am to 7pm)
Friday, October 4, 1000 to 1900 (10am to 7pm)

How do I get in?
The Balloon Fiesta Park is located between Alameda on the South, Tramway on the North, San Mateo on the East and the AMAFCA Channel on the West. For Registration Only, please enter the park from Alameda and Balloon Museum Drive. Let the gate guard know that you are there to attend Registration.
Where is it?
Registration will be held in the Sid Cutter Pilotsí Pavilion, which is located on the South East corner of the field. Let them know you need the Chase Crew table for check-in.

I cannot make the Pilot Registration times, so what do I do now? Where do I go?
Chase Crew Headquarters during the event is located just north of the Sid Cutter Pilots' Pavilion, next to the blue awning.
Chase Crew HQ can be identified as a red cube (Gloves on the map)

When can I visit the Chase Crew HQ during the event?
Hours of operation during the event are between 5:30am to 9am (daily) or 4pm to 6:30pm
(Sat., Sun., Thurs., Fri., Sat. Ė Evening sessions only)

Important notes:
The 2019 Chase Crew handbook will be distributed at the Chase Crew Registration on a first come first served basis.
If you find your pilot no longer requires your services, please feel free to re-register at the Chase Crew Headquarters daily between 5:30am to 9am or 4pm to 6:30pm during the afternoon events. Chase Crew Headquarters will be located just north of the Sid Cutter Pilot's Pavilion, near the blue awning.
We will do our best to accommodate all pilots and crewmembers.
If you have a family member or friend who did not make the online sign-up in time, they can come to the registration to sign up in person. Donít worry we always need more people!
Thank you in advance for doing your part in promoting a SAFE BALLOON FIESTA.
Jennifer Garcia
Associate Event Director
(Pilots/Chase Crew)

Would love to attend. Did chase crews several years in Indianola, Iowa at the National Balloon fest and it is a blast! If you got the time give it a try and have fun!
