Thanks! appreciate a first-hand account!

If you do go to Dover, the Dover Mall is fantastic. We've been there for years and it's a good crowd, too. You have a choice between grass and pavement (we opt for pavement which is great especially if it rains). No problem with running the generators overnight. You always get the guys who run those loud ones as well. I think that's par for the course, LOL! Spots are a nice size (we actually buy two for extra room). Mobile water and sewer pump out service too. Can't beat it!

That is what Gene (Bud512) said. Good Sam is advertising tickets to all 3 races and Rv parking in lot 10. I'm told handover Mall is $150. Is it worth thr extra money?

Here is a link for a NASCAR specific camping message board. Click here

Personally I would go with the camping at the Dover Mall. Grass is our preference.

I would find out what tickets they are going to give you with that package. Being high in the stands is a good idea at dover so you can see around.

There is a free dump station over by the casino. It is behind the Best Buy / Michael's Crafts store. There is also fresh water spigots in that parking lot on the sides of the stores. They are located in the grass area next to the lot.

Thanks for the link and info. I did call them and they told me the seats are between turns 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 rows 1-30.

That is a $40 - $60 cup ticket. You need to be higher.

I have 2 Hondas that make very little noise. I didn't figure on most people having large loud ones. Having said that, it really didn't bother us at all. It drowns out all the other noise. Once in the TT we hear very little outside as our AC unit takes over with white noise. We stayed in the loud lot but it looked like the quiet lot may have a little bigger spaces. We opted for loud so we could run our generators all night. Bottom line, this was my first experience with camping at a NASCAR race. I had high hopes and WAS NOT disappointed at all. In fact I may go to Dover in 3 weeks and do it all over again.

Thanks for posting. DW and I have only been one race, Texas, but next year will be the first time with the RV when we go to Vegas. We're looking forward to it and are not sure what to expect. Hopefully next year we can make it out to Bristol or Richmond if Vegas goes well.

By the way, off topic, I have had a Big Green Egg for a couple of years. It's AWESOME.

Definitely agree. You won't be able to see the whole track from that low. I would want to start at about row 30. We are closer to row 40 by the start/finish and it's ideal.

It's a looong climb to some of these higher seats at Dover, so if there are any difficulties with climbing stairs, please take that into consideration. For the really, really high seats (that look like they are in their own tier), there is an elevator.

Over by the start/finish area, it's not as huge of a climb as the stands in the turns. You might be able to find some seats there depending on how many you are looking for.

I have to agree that there's nothing like camping at the track. We've camped at Bristol (wow), Indy, Texas and Kansas.

Our hometrack is Kansas and we have RV parking in a paved lot for $200 for both races. Plenty of space and the security folks keep the insanity at a reaonable level. Hope to make it to 'Dega someday!

Warren, did you renew your tickets for the spring race at RIR? The Titan and a group of us will be in lot J for the Saturday race.

Not yet. I hope to but our daughter is expecting May 2 in Syracuse. I'm afraid to spring for the tickets and have her go into labor early. I will keep you informed. We are headed to Martinsville on Friday for the weekend races. Looks like we live near each other, I'm in Chantilly.
