I know I will get all kinds of answers on this, but just wanted to see what the experts had to say. We have been RVing for almost 20 plus years and now have a Class A. Been thinking of attending a Rally in the near future. I know there are all kinds, IRV2, FMCA, Winnebago, Good Sam and numerous others. And I know each one has their own unique traits. Looking at some of the seminars and just meeting other RVers.

Wanted to see what you all would think is the best Rally to attend to gain the most and these days, the best bang for the buck. Since the better half is still working, she says I could even go by myself if I wanted to.

Just wanted to see what all of thoughts were on this.

Thanks in advance

Bob

I would recommend the following in order of must do:

1. IRV2 Yearly Rally
2. Winnebago Grand National Rally
3. One of the FMCA Regional Rallies
4. WCMC Rally (If you have a WorkHorse Chassis)

So, as you can see, everybody has their opinion!

For my 2 cents, I'd attend an Escapee Escapade (escapees.com and go to forums for a buncha good reads). That's abbreviated as SKP. All kinds of good seminars and terrific vendors in the market place. I was one of 753 rigs in Sedalia, MO this week. (Lots of rain made leaving the fair grounds this morning quite a challenge!) FMCA international rallys are pretty great, but just too big for my taste. Regional FMCA ones are supposed to be good, but can't personally say.

Whatever you choose, you'll learn something valuable! Go.

I really like the irv2.com rallies. They are small enough to be personal, yet large enough to meet folks from most of the U.S.A. The seminars and classes are will organized and scheduled to permit you to make all of them if you wish. To find out about attending this years rally, go back to the main forum page and open the National irv2.com rally section. There you'll find all available information for this years rally and the organizers. Send a PM to "Islipp" for the fastest response, as I'm sure he is quite busy now. It's possible there has been a cancellation, opening up a spot for a last minute attendee.

Based on my experiences...

1. Join WIT and attend the Winnebago Grand National in Forest City, Iowa

2. Attend a IRV2 National rally

3. Participate in IRV2 regional rallies or weekend camp outs (note since you live in OH you should enjoy the "Pond Pigges" (Mid IRV2 region)). Contact Islapp as Ray,IN suggested.

majfrizz,

We (meaning us Pond Piggies) would love to have you join us at any of our campouts. We post our whereabouts in the North Central & Pond Piggie Forums. There are several of us (a mix of families & couples) from NE/C OH & W PA that get together, off & on, throughout the season. Also, let us know what CG(s) you'll be at & it's possible we could meet up w/ya.

Depending on what info you got from Mike (ISLAPP) about a last minute Rally slot, you could always call Evergreen & make a reservation not associated with the Rally. It'd give you a chance to meet some of the members attending even if you aren't officially part of the Rally.

Hope to see ya down the road.

I apppreciate everyones response. I know it is probably late to try one this year, but will definetly make plans for next year.
