...in the driveway of my parents home ...it is adjoining Steele Creek Park, 4 miles from the track.

All joking aside, your best bet would be to check the Woodall's RV Directory and start calling NOW. I would guess that most of those RV parks in the Bristol area are full for those important dates.

Check out http://www.laidbackracing.com for lists of Bristol campgrounds and "pop odoms" which are fields where their owners open them during race weeks. Also from http://www.bristolmotorspeedway.com web site you will find lists of campgrounds near the track. In the Bristol Motor Speedway news letter I received yesterday they listed 4 new campgrounds associated with the speedway. Call Angela at 423-989-6944 or email her, angela@bristolmotorspedway.com.
I don't think any campground directory will list as many places to camp as the above websites. Most are dry camping, there are some with water, some with water & electric, and some full hook up. They are all expensive, ranging from about $100 up to over $500.00.
So check these websites and call if numbers are listed for availability and prices.
I have been camping there since the mid 80's, so remember you are race camping. Like most places near race tracks you will be awning to awning, with generators running 24 hours a day, and parties that run as long as the generators.

I prefer Earhart. They have sections next to and across the road from Bristol on the flatest areas. Some of the campgrounds are pretty hilly.

We have stayed at both Earhart's & Farmer Bob's in the last few years. We also stayed in All American when it first opened. Earhart's is the closest to the track, and has a full service campground along with several fields for dry camping. When we last stayed there they (Earhart employee's) park you as you come in. So if you plan to meet some friends there and want to camp together you will need to meet and drive in together.
Farmer Bob's is off Route 394 and you could save a spot or so when we last stayed there. The walk is about 20 minutes to the speedway, down the road to the drag strip.
Some of these places are hilly, as stated above.

I stay at All-American. It is hilly. They have added hundreds of new sites with hookups.
