Anyone going to Bristol for the night race August 24 ? We are staying at "Farmers Bob's" campground, anyone have any pros or cons on this campground?

First of all Bristol is a great track. You will love it! We stayed a Farmer Bob's several years ago and I would stay there again. There are some hilly areas that are more suitable for tent camping but there are enough sites for RVs as well. If you have an ATV take it with you. They are all over the place. Have fun!!

In the past we stayed at Earhart campground.

http://www.earhartcampground.com/

We liked the above because they do not allow ground fires and golf carts or ATV's.

The reason why is if you are camping there from Tuesday (since the truck race is Wednesday) until Sunday the smell of smoke from campfires and the smell of small gas engines all week is nauseating. Remember it's hot that time of your so people leave their generators run 24/7.
One year it was so hot and the air was so still that CO detectors were going off in some if the campers.

We also stayed once (and once only) at All American. No thanks.

Check to see if they allow the above and make your own decision.

Have a great time.
