Just think it wasn't a Toyota that won.

Finally! a Daytona 500 with racing instead of the boring conga line of the past.

I haven't watched any NASCAR racing in several years. The race tp the cup & the so called cars of tommorrow , or whatever they call the new cars killed it for me.

What a race and congratulations to that young racer from Knoxville, Tn who won it. And, I'm kicking myself in the butt right now. This is the first year in quite some time that we have not camped and attended speedweeks. In fact, we left Fort Wlderness last Saturday for the trip back to Tennessee. Daytona was just a hop, skip and jump away from "O"lando. Darn, going to have to have another scotch and water and feel real sorry for myself.
But, it was a great race and Trevor is a fine young man.
Bob

I loved listening to his radio conversation after the race, where he didn't know where to go for the winners' circle.

It was cool that he won but IMO the racing sucked

Great win for the Wood Brothers, there is so much great history there.
NASCAR racing is at it's best. Plate racing will always be that, a line of cars following one another, just be glad that there are not more superspeedways.
One of our favorite tracks is Richmond, great short track racing.
In todays world sponcers is what drives everything.
There have never been that many cars on a lead lap.

Happy as heck for Trevor !!
Other than that, it was 3+ hours of fornicating "love bugs" chasing each other around the speedway.
Thre "real" season begins this weekend in Phoenix
