I am planning on going to the Nascar races at Lowes Motor Speedway in October. We want to dry camp for 4 days. I have emailed several listed parking spots, but haven't had any responses. Does anyone have any suggestions. We will arrive on Wednesday.

I am looking for a place for 4 nights, no hookups required, but close to track.

Lowes has space for 10,000 RV's. Really!
Try Lowe's Motor Speedway | Speedway | Camping

The price at Rock City is for the whole week.As stated go to the Lowes site, and save a lot of hassel, but you can still get sites at track. It is large and is not sold out.If you want quiter ask for a spot at the very back.(sometimes works)There is a large Mall with bass pro about a mile away.
Have fun---Bill

We camp in the Country Crock lot behind turn 3 and enjoy it. Our 1st year at Lowe's was in Rock City, but it was not level, rowdy, and you have to take a school bus to/from the camp ground. That was not a good experience after the race.

There is a large grass lot on the south west corner of Rte 29 and Morehead Road that charges $80 for the week. That is diagonally across from Turn 1. There is water available and porta potties.

We are here at the races. We got here Wednesday and picked Yates Family Campground. It is close to Turn 2 and the Sam Bass Gallery. Nice gravel sites with water and half with electricity. With just water $30/night. He is very attentive and helpful. It is a Good Sam campground. Lots of other camping here, sure not a problem finding a spot. Saw a Class C setup in the Free Parking Lot. Wasn't there next day, don't know if Security made him leave or not. Address here is 6285 Hudspeth Road, Harrisburg, NC 28075. Phone number (704)773-9349 . He answers his phone all the time unlike the others I tried.
