Not sure where I should be posting this one.

We are having our annual star party in a few weeks. It will be our 10th year doing this.

It is held each year in south west VA.

The campground is called Cool Breez Campground. About 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Park Way. The closest town is Galaxy VA.

This is an open invite to all who wish to come by and see the show we put on. You can watch live on our monitors as we capture deep sky objects such as galaxy's and nebula's. All live and in color. We do have late nights doing this and most nights we start around an hour after dark.

Nothing better than sitting under the stars, with some wine and friends bumping some good music on your speakers

I will try to remember to follow, hope all stays dark. I was at the Okie-Tex party in the late 80's and around 3AM when all the photographers (emulsion then) were enjoying tracking and bumping a bolide came on the scene. First reaction was anger about some idiot turning on his lights and driving away. Now we'd just drop that series of captures and keep tracking.

This star party is for live viewing and the monitors are wide open to the air. No Light Police at all. Now of course nobody aims light at each other but you will see monitor light around the campground as you walk around. It really does not hurt anyone there. Were all doing it. The campers seem to enjoy the show also. Not many will stay up past 10 or 11 though. LOL so we do have the rest of the night to tag a lot of objects.
