Hershey rv show

Great show. Went last year, 1st time after rv'ng for 5 years. There are A LOT of vendors and any type of RV that you could think of. Wasn't planning on it, but left with a new Ambassador 40'. Be careful!!!!!

For a good campground try Thousand Trails just 20 minutes from Hershey on Rt 322 they take drive in reservations you do not have to be a member anymore, its a terrific area great scenery, restaurants, lots to.

They, like most others, are already booked. Best advise is to book early for the 2014 show.

I have been finding it harder and harder to book a camping spot during any major holiday anymore. There must be a lot more people camping than ever before. Even in state parks where the maximum length of the stay is 14 days. I tried to book the July 4th weekend at a park where they only allowed you to book 6 months in advance. I called the 6 months to the day early in the morning and all of the prime spots were already taken! I asked how could that be? It seems that people will book 2 weeks earlier for the two weeks prior up to and including the holiday weekend!.

Planning ahead doesn't seem to work at times either.

At one KOA I was told I could book one year in advance. Upon checking out I tried to book the same spot for the next year. I was told that it was already booked and that I should have booked it during checking in?

That's this year's dates, Mick!

Are you guys going this year? I couldn't remember the dates for the volleyball tournament.

We talked about staying at PSHS for this year's show, but it seemed silly to drive an hour and a half and still be almost an hour away, when I can get to Hershey in 2 hours.
Plus we aren't set up for a toad, so we would both have to drive to camp. Next year I want to be able to get into Highmeadow so we can use their shuttle.

do not sign any contracts as there is no three day period to rethink your purchase...don't sign anything even if you are told that they just need your signature to give you payment options

Welcome to the forum first of all. We enjoy camping down you way.

I'd say that it would depend on why you're going. If you looking to buy the last day might find dealers more willing to negotiate. Saturday is a good day to look through floor plans.

If you plan on looking through a lot of these units pack some advil, the in and out going up and down the narrow steps takes it's toll after a long day.

Does this place have a decent selection of ultra light weight TTs ? I will be a first time buyer for a TT and this will be my first RV show to attend . I mean i def want to check out all the high dollar expensive rvs just to see them but i am looking to purchase my first TT so im assuming this place would be great to narrow down what model/brand to get.

Its a 2 hour drive for me so im excited about it .
