I seem to remember adds for a Caravan down the Mississippi River. Now, I am interested in such a trip I can't find any information about one.

Did the company go out of business? What happend? I think this would be an Awesome experience, and would like to know more.

John

John, I was also very interested. Two years ago I checked out a company in New Orleans for prices. Shortly after I tried to contact them. Not even their phone were hooked up anymore. Apparently they went out of business. I heard, but don't know for fact, that the insurance was the reason.
If you find one, please let me know. I'm real interested in that type of experience too.

John, check with WIT Tours. Call 1-800-643-4892, ext 1 or 641-585-6465.

Although not advertised in the latest issue of WIT Club News, I seem to remember that they "had" a barge tour in the past. Maybe they at least can give you some leads.

I am with you guys. I have looked all over the net for this river cruise. Can't find a thing on it. I was referred to "Tracks", different ball game entirely. I know for sure it was offered at one time. I think this would be the adventure of a life time.

Thanks DOC: This story only makes me wish I could find it more. However, after a lot of search, I have come across a source, that maintains due to the stringent security measures put into effect by Homeland Security, the owners just could not meet the added expense and dictates. They gave it up, what a shame.

That is really a shame.

Do you know who the past operators were? I wouldn't mind talking with them. One would think with the growing number of RVers, and the possible demand, this could be a viable business oportunity for the right group of investors.
