Okechobee Music Fesitval in FL in early March. It's a four day event. It was awesome last year and completely sold out. Tent and RV camping. I would highly suggest opting for the VIP option. It would be worth it because of the crowds.

Rhythm and Roots in Charlestown, RI every Labor Day weekend. Always a great lineup and wonderfully crazy crowd in a very nice seaside setting.

Moondancejam.com. In walker,minnesota..they have full hookups and thousands of sites. Google moondancejam.com and they also have moondancecountry.com. Absolutely excellent music 4 stages nothing but top notch. Great time and no mosquitoes either.. We have gone for years and love it.. We r in our late 50's and a lot of ypunger bands r beginning to play. But we still have a lot of fun

Just checking in to say how good I am to see this thread. One of the things I am most looking forward to with going fulltimer is catching as much live music as possible, including volunteering at festivals for free tickets and camping.

Music, with Camping
Lincoln Jamboree, Hodgenville, Kentucky (about one mile north of Lincoln Birthplace National Park and near I-65). They have a show on Saturday evening, a cafeteria-style meal before the show, and you can camp free Friday and Saturday night for the purchase of a show ticket (30-amp, dump station w/water fill). You can walk across the road to a nice church Sunday morning. We have camped there three times and been to the show several other times without camping. Check out their website.

I get my Hippie fix every year at the Fingerlakes Grassroots Fest just outside Ithaca NY. Nice mix of bluegrass, roots, and more with 80 bands. You get in line on Wednesday and they let you in on Thursday. Runs through Sunday.
There is also one now in NC and one in FL.

At Fingerlakes you get to park in the infield so you can easily listen to the two main stages. You must get your infield RV passes early though as they sell out every year. They also have RV parking next door which is quieter but still at the fest so no driving needed. They also use volunteers.
