What was the cost for RV Hill? Seen them on TV . Lots of rigs.

I was on the inside corner at Texas Motor in '09

Bug 512 is right on regarding the Earhart CG at Bristol. It's close to the track and all the activities including the concerts. You can get dry camping or pay more and go up on the Earhart Ridges and get hook-ups. BMS is an outstanding track.

I've never been to a NASCAR event but have many NHRA...and NASCAR is on my list to attend. I can say Dover will NEVER be in my future due to what they did to the NHRA guys and NASCAR guys in St louis, What they did to the NHRA guys in Memphis and what they did to the Kentucky racers....Dover needs to get out of motorsports entirely...that might make their stock holders happy.

After Dover telling us NHRA guys we had to pay to park in a designated pit spot...after we paid entry fees to enter the facility and race was just totally absurd. I can't imagine how they nickel and dime folks at their last and only track in operation.

Much has been said about rednecks....Id rather be surrounded by rednecks than a bunch of tea totalling, snob nosed folks who complain about everything, including campfires

Bristol, or Kansas or Dega are on my wish list....(Hear that Santa?)

Or do like I am doing this year and camp at a SP close to the event. I'm staying 25-30 minutes away with electric and water for normal camping prices because of the outragous prices to camp on track and their surrounding campsites at KY Speedway.

$600 for electric hookups and $250 for dry camping. Both prices for 3 days. Look here if you don't believe me.
Kentucky Speedway - RV & Camping

Here are some more private sites:

Rates | Edge of Speedway campground Crazy price to be next door

Cheaper but 30 minutes away
Little Farm on the River Camping Resort - Woodall's Campground Directory
Oak Creek Campground - Woodall's Campground Directory

The KY SP I'm staying at has better facilities and some other stuff to do which is a ppealing since I'm staying Sunday afternoon to Sunday morning after the race.

Plus I get the added benefit of sleeping at night and less chance of generators running all night with hookups being available.

New Hampshire Motor Speedway ($100) and Dover Speedway ($150) for the full race week. This is dry camping, but have great support services for water and sewer.
That's pretty darn good. New Hampshire offers some larger lots for ($150) but were offering a price reduction of($25) if you booked early with returning campers given priority. SEE YA AT THE RACES!!!!

You might also want to think about a 'genturi'. You might end up parked right up next to someone and your exhaust may be 10' from their front door. or 0' from their patio. I just finished building my own, saved a little money.

I've wanted to camp at a NASCAR race ever since I've owned an RV, which really isn't that long of a time
What I'm putting on my bucket-list is camping on the infield at the Indy 500, anyone done that? Need reservations years in advance? Will most tracks fit a 45' rig?

Staying in the infield is great. Have done that a few times. But, staying in the regular track camping lots is way more fun. If you stay in the infield, security will keep you well separated from the drivers. You will see the races far better from the stands. With the infield camping costs, you can go to 2 or 3 races.
