I recently discovered that Affinity Group, owners of Sirpilla RV/Camping World are not exhibiting at the Ohio RV show this week in Cleveland. They are having their own show at the Akron / Canton dealership. This can not be good for the show, considering they are the largest dealer in the area and Affinity used to bring in their other dealers from Indiana. It is probably a decent show if you are interested in travel trailers and fifth wheels.

Jerry-

One of the local dealers pulled out of the Columbus OH RV shows starting a year or so ago. They do their own "show" at their dealership. From talking to one of their salespeople, renting space at these shows is quite expensive, the risk of damage to the rv at the show while wrangling them into & out of tight spots is high (they're usually parked nose to tail at ours) not to mention the wear & tear on the rv with all those people tramping through them made the shows more hassle than worth it for them.

I can see other dealers doing the same if exhibiting at a show doesn't bring in any more customers than being a no show.
