PRVCA SHow In Hershey
I am thinking of attending this show from Cincinnati. 9 hour trip, so I want to make sure it is worthwhile. I was wondering in any of you would be there, and if so, is there any kind of irv2 meetup? I plan on attending the show Saturday.

Hershey is the second largest RV show on the East coast and well worth attending.
The January Tampa show is the largest.

If you are planning on Camping at the Show if that's possible any more make sure that you don't have to chase down the services that you are paying for. We camped on the property - primitive - and it was OK but we also paid for pump out service however that was hard to come by.
I hope that over the past few years that service has improved. They have a large enough field however parking is best right off the pavement parallel to the road. The show is less than 1/2 of a mile away so either a leisurely walk or a golf cart rental would be the best choices unless you have a vendor car pass.

Myself and the DW will be there. I went last year and had a great time. Inside there are good vendors, outside lots and lots of eye candy. I go to get ideas. We have a 1971 Revcon so modern is not the norm in our coach, but our retro is very tasteful. There is plenty of room in the parking lot where many camp and show off there rides. Hope to see you there.

Hey guys ... IF you are going to go to the PRVCA Show and are heading "South" from there, think about coming to the National Rally in Urbanna, VA!

So, anyone know what the deal is with dry camping / Parking lot camping for this event. It's two weeks away and I really have to make sure I can park/stay someplace and be able to walk to the show each day.
Anyone have any real info other than what's on the web site?
Thanks!
Rick

Rain won't hinder PRVCA show
Greg Gerber posted on September 08, 2011 16:08
HERSHEY, Penn. -- A pounding rain this week posed challenges for crews trying to set up this year's Pennsylvania RV Show at the Giant complex in Hershey, Penn. But, the show will be ready to open Monday, organizers said.
"These conditions are not exactly the best for setting up a major show," Becky Lenington, executive director of the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association, told RV Daily Report today. "We have had record rain that equates with our 1972 flood."

I-88 in NY had a couple closures as of yesterday so be ready to detour when you are near Binghamton, NY and Wilkes Barre, PA where there was also flooding. I'm hoping by Wed. the waters will abate.

If you meant I-81, I called the local police and all roads are now open in Pine Grove ( north of Harrisburg ) which had a 10 mile closure yesterday. Binghamton is also clear.
