RV Camping at Daytona?

My husband has been a long time NASCAR fan, and goes to MIS every year, camping on the infield. He's talked me into going this year so I'll drive the motorhome. LOL! We think we may like to go to Daytona next year. What close RV parks can you suggest? thank you!

SewBzzzy you can park right in the infield where the real action is during race week. Call DIS and talk to them now for next year as spots fill up quickly. Campgrounds outside of the speedway I can not help you with as I have always stayed on the infield. Used to be when you entered you just found a spot you liked and parked there.

We go every year for the Turkey Rod Run and this year chose to stay "outside" the track area.

We stayed at the KOA (just turned KOA)
Daytona Beach KOA
3520 South Nova Road
Port Orange, FL 32129

They were extremely nice there, plenty of room to drop and store any extra trailers or equipment you might have.

Not much to do at the campground itself, but you are only 10 mins. max from the Daytona 500.

just got back from daytona have stayed at finishline rv across from the track about four blocks from the track....have power and water...feb is hard to get in late july is easier....jim k
