My sons and I are going to Talladega for the fall race. Plan to arrive on Oct 4th. Are any other IRV2 members going to be there?

Yep we will be there starting either Thurs or Friday. Can't wait to get there . Then will take a few days and go to Ft. Payne, Desoto Park

We are leaving for Talladega Wednesday morning. Weather is looking good for the remainder of the week. We will be heading on to Charlotte for the night race after that.

Hi, A quick summary of our Adventure

We stayed outside of the track at WazooToo campground. A 40' unit is their maximum as the spaces are advertised at 20 x 40 feet. The nose of our MH was over the gravel and we were backed up as far as possible to a water access pipe.

It is a good hike from there to the track, although we managed OK and had a great time over the 4 days we stayed. It was a bit quicker to walk than to drive and since we left our SUV at home, didn't have that option. Weather was excellent, relatively quiet camp site. We would recommend this if your looking for something away from the noise and dust!
