Just looking for input from some of those who had been there. But You can put us down as 99% sure we're going to be there. We would actually be comming fron Cincinnati, where we go to take in some baseball games once a summer.
It's unlikely that you will miss anything. All rallies are front end loaded so by the time you get near the end there is not a whole lot of stuff left to do. You may possibly miss a seminar that you would like to attend but otherwise you should have had your fill by Saturday night.

Thanks Bill, that's kind of what I was thinking. Going to check with the boss in the morning, and if the vacation days are available, we are going to go for it.

Guess we're a day late and a pound short once again. Yesterday we decided we'd change around our plans a bit and attend the Rally but as I tried to register on line we're wait listed of the 2 day early bird with electric.

We have 3 dogs so dry camping isn't our forte'... especially in the summer. Have to keep the coach at a reasonable temp during the day.

Does anyone have insights as to the likelyhood of us getting in? I guess we could look for something nearby and buy a passport. A state park about 20 miles away seems to still have space.

Ricko- there is a campground on the Clarksville, IN side of the river (if it didn't get washed away ) Believe it is a KOA. Have stayed there a couple of times over the years and is a nice but small set up. Last Rally there we stayed in the CG (dogs were allowed at that time) and drove to Rally each day. About 5 mile and a straight shot down the interstate thru town. CG is on the L/H side of Interstate headed north just across the bridge. Rally is on south side of town. Just paid day fee for Rally. Think was sixty some dollars

Good news. Just got a message from the rally and they've opened up more spots so we're in!

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Hi Lori. We're actually just enjoying being gypsies and we're working our way toward Minnesota later this summer but are currently enjoying the south/east. We'll spend a couple more weeks here in Virginia/DC area and then begin to meander westward so Louisville is a perfect opportunity for us to attend our first rally and see some more beautiful country.

See ya there.

i was in the Louisville area today enroute to Fort Knox, thought i would check out the lots. Lot 3 looks like all blacktop with a small area in grass. Lot 2 is all grass. Lot 3 is a mixture of grass and blacktop right next to the interstate exit ramp and across from the main gate. here is the grid coordinates from my GPS for Lot 3 area, N 38.19678, W085.75641.

Thanks for the info & coordinates for look up.

I rec'd an email last week stating
Quote:
In an effort to avoid "at risk" parking due to inclement weather, we have closed the "Lot 2" parking area and moved all the rigs in that lot to a secured paved parking area. All Rally guests who were assigned to "Lot 2" and reserved for electric hookups have been moved to "Lot 3." All Rally guests who were previously assigned to "Lot 2" and reserved for dry camping have been moved to "Lot 1.

I guess they learned their lesson from a prior rainy Rally.

We did it! Made our reservations today. In the special requests I ask to be placed as close as possible to the group from IRV2.com. I'm not sure if they would be able to honor this request, or if they even have others from this site camping together, but I'm sure we will be able to find one and other after we get there.

Looking forward to it!

I think those attending are spread out in either lots 1 or 3, depending on whether one registered for an electric or dry site & we won't know what row we're in until we get there. We're not "together" as a group from iRV2.

Best bet would be to be on the lookout for iRV2 stickers on rigs, to ID members attending. We've got one on each side of the coach.

Well not only that of course, but we do also have this web site as convoluted as that may be, we could post our site number here, and invite others to drop by as they wish. It would be neat to be able to put a face with the screen names.

I got a standard camp site with electric, but of course I don't have my package yet with all the details as I just reserved today. I would like to have been able to do it earlier, but it took this long for my boss to give me the OK on those vacation dates.

For those of you still wondering if sites are available, I didn't have any problems, sites are still available so by all means jump on in!

Hi All:

Hey where can I get IRV2 stickers for my coach? Do we have them?

Regards... Jim P.
