The Rally, Syracuse, June 2013

Anybody going to The Rally in Syracuse, June 13-16, 2013? We're signed up in the non-electric area as we have solar panels and should not need the A/C in Syracuse in June (famous last words). This will be our first big rally, look forward to seeing some old friends and new from iRV2 there.

Yes, we are going! Went to our first one last year in KY. Had a blast!! Could not believe how many vendors were there & how many things they gave away!! Anxiously awaiting this one!

We're currently at Letchworth State Park heading for the rally. We're in an electric site. BTW, this park is phenomenal, well worth any detour on the way home. Same for Allegehny State Park, make the journey and you won't be disappointed.

Good Sam Rally in Syracuse ,NY

This will be our first GS rally. We live in Niagara Falls NY. We are coming in on Wednesday and will be staying at Green Lakes state Park. Their are three adults in our family. I will be in a wheel chair some of the time as I am only five weeks recouperated from four hrs. of major abd. surgery. Doing very well post surgery just need some more time. Read another post that said 4000.00 RVS are coming. That would be at least 8000.00 people. The weather report is great. Sunshine and mid 70s for the whole event. wow 8thousand people and 4thousand RVS. Printed the schedule off the GS website and it showed activities starting on Wed. Just a little confused as I thought the event didn't start until Thur. Good Sam member and IRV2.

Sam3,

They always seem to have a few activities on the early bird arrival day(s).There are not enough days or hours to do everything!!!

We hope to arrive mid-afternoon on Wednesday. We are planning a morning departure from north-east Massachusetts but will have to get propane somewhere before we arrive.

Bob and I will be in handicapped parking with no electric. I splurged on all new batteries this year and those, along with my gennie should be enough to keep us going all weekend....Famous last words...LOL!!!

See you all soon...

Faith

We are in the "High Rent" district on Cattaraugus St one RV towards the grandstand from the blue and yellow D&H passenger coach:

Our son and daughter both enjoy seeing the trains go by on the main line just out our window!

Fortunately the trains do not sound their horns so we slept well. After an initial disappointment that they would not let our daughter with special needs into the youth program we adjusted our expectations and are enjoying the Rally with our kids instead of without. Stop by and see us!

We're in the brown lot, row 48, close to the hi-way. Give a shout and maybe we can get together.

We also ended up by the grand stand east end. White & blue newmar w/ a white buick. Beats mudding it.
When I saw the heavy wrecker coming in yesterday, I went OH BOY.
Weather today was great after the fog burned off. Seminars today, mixed w/ some vendors.
Day goes by really fast.

rally

I wished I would of looked at the fourm this morning. I drove to the rally from Rochester NY, Talked to the factory reps, They were great and Chad factory mechanic took time to answer all my questions. What a great company. As for parking by the trains, we do that twice a year( March & April) for dog shows. They sure do shake things up. Sorry I did not get a chance to meet you all. Bob& deb. 2008 Cayon Star 3641
