Now that Miller Tyme has asked about everyone's favorite driver I am wondering what NASCAR car track would be your first choice to go to as a spectator?

For me it would be Darlinton to see the Southern 500. Bristol at night would be a very close second.

Both of these would be a pretty good haul from CA with the fiver on back

Here is a list of the tracks I have been to in order of preference,
Bristol (night)
Bristol
Charlotte (any race, beautiful track)
Martinsville (slow speeds but nice place)
Atlanta (good race but traffic was terrible)

Bristol night race is really something to see and hear. They have several races during the week and most all of them are fun to watch, there are no bad seats.

Our favorites are Daytona Beach for the 400 (night race) and Dover, Delaware for the Monster Mile. (course we are still Delaware residents)

I'd be happy to go any of them because the only track I've been to is Michigan International Speedway. But, you CAN skip the road race courses. I hate those!

Bristol's night race and the two qualifiying races at Daytona. Love those qualifiying races because of all the excitement in the back of the pack near the end of the race. Drivers will do anything if they are on the line.

Have to agree on Bristol(night). I've got a friend who lives a half-hour from the track who keeps prmising to get tickets. All I have to do is drive on down.
Second would be Michigan(short hop over Lake Michigan for me).
Third, Talladega(I would need more vacation time for that one)

Any one that wouldn't require a second mortgage to buy tickets! My son was interested in going to Sears Point - oops - Infineon Raceway - this year so I called to inquire about ticket prices. It's $80 per person for admission, and if you want to dry camp for the weekend, it's $100! We decided it's more affordable to sit home and watch it on TV.

We've had 4 permanent seats at Martinsville (April) and Atlanta (October) for years. We've also been to Daytona, Talladega, many Pocono races, the Glen, and Richmond.

Our "must get to" tracks are Bristol and Charlotte. Our "wouldn't take free tickets" track would be that infamous parade route called Loudon.

Here's to a great 2003 Cup season!

I say BRISTOL ...for a few reasons.

- I know Bristol well enough to drive a taxi there
- Have lots of relatives in Bristol
- Can park our RV on our own property in Bristol

...and if you haven't guessed it by now, I was born & raised in Bristol

Bristol is really a nice place to be from ...and I mean that to be "far from". I now like to treat the 'Twin Cities' as only a nice place to visit. But then again, why visit when we can't afford the race tickets?
