Winter RV shows

I would like to attend at least one RV show this winter and have been looking online and see quite a few around the country.

The DW will be on her annual hiking trip with the girls in Sedona mid April, hopefully we can find one or two before that.

Was hoping that the RV manufacturers would be there but from what I can find it's looks like just RV dealers.

I'd hate to think I need to review each shows dealers to make sure they will have what we want to look at.

Rather speak to technical folks from the manufacturer than a salesman from a dealership.

Websites for the shows have exhibitor links and I haven't found any yet.

Am I missing something or that's normal?

Hello,
We will be attending the largest RV show in the US this January in Tampa, Florida.
All info can be found online, but the dates are: January 17-21, 2018.
This will be our second year to attend this show and have found it to be an excellent.
This year we plan on staying onsite for 3 days of dry camping and looking forward to it.
Limited hydro sites are available.
We have also attended the massive show in Hersey, PA in September, and again, an excellent show.
Always plenty to see and easy to compare the different manufacturers.
If you have the opportunity to tour any RV manufacturing facility, that is when you really get to see how things are made and the level of quality each company puts into their products.
We have toured, Forest River's Georgetown in Elkhart IN, Airstream in Ohio, and Fleetwood in Decatur, IN.
The tour guides "will" take you into every area on construction and offer excellent input on their product and comparisons to the industry.

The Tampa show looks like one that actually has a good selection of manufacturers. Good excuse to get out of the cold here and head south.

Thanks

There is also a big indoor show in Houston the second week of Feb. The problem with shows that are too big is that after seeing dozens of similar size coaches back to back everything starts to blur together.

No you're not missing anything. The shows are pretty much geared to the general public and an opportunity for a potential buyer to spend some time investigating what's available.

The only show I can think of offhand that you might find the people you want to talk with would be the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY. With a large percentage of builders and suppliers located in general area the location present an opportunity for such. Only problem the show is in late November each year.

Recreation Vehicle | About the National RV Trade Show |

Technical details about a coach is a multiple target. The final builder puts together the shell, plumbing, electrical and interior items. Pretty much everything else (chassis, HVAC, appliances, windows, power management, levelers,,,) is supplied by someone else and just bolted on.

I believe the National RV Show in Louisville KY is an Industry Trade Show and not open to the public.

Well Tampa show is full of manufacturers, and I'm hoping so won't others as they publish the exhibitors.
