85 Through Charlotte NC?

Wondering about going through Charlotte on 85, mid-morning on a weekday. What's the traffic and road conditions like? Heading for 29 in VA.

You shouldn't have any problems going through Charlotte. However just north of there is construction. You may have a slow down at that time but otherwise no problems all the way up to Greensboro. After 3:00 pm or so will be another story.

Stay in the right lane and let the truckers whiz by. You will be past the worst part by the time you get to Concord. Assume you are picking up 29 in Greensboro. The I-40 option is the best route to 29 but watch carefully. The 29 exit is somewhat obscured.

I normally stay in the right lane anyway. No hurry.
Yes, picking up 29 in Greensboro via I-40. Thanks for the heads up on the 29 exit!
