Arizona - I-10 greenery

I just drove I-10 through AZ. The median and sides of the freeway seemed more green than I ever recall them. Has AZ had an unusual amount of rain this summer? Or maybe I just have a bad memory.

Also, for the most part the freeway is in very good condition. Thanks for that! Now Texas... we need to talk!

OK, so I am not crazy - regarding that, anyway...

Yes, Arizona is lush right now - a good monsoon this summer. Love it!

We have had a fair amount of rain down in the deserts this summer but not as much as we got last summer (thank God, we had some bad flooding then). Up in the mountains, where most of the Phoenix Metro area's water supply comes from and where rain does the most good, we have gotten a bit more rain than last year.

Tucson's rainfall is above normal.

Our daughter lives in the Phoenix area and she says the storms surround them but don't drop water on her house!

That's typical of AZ rain. It tends to be very spotty. One place can be getting a toad springer and two blocks away can get nothing. I actually saw a house once that was getting rain on one side and nothing on the other.
